Privacy Policy

AskedAbout (“AskedAbout”, “we”, “us”) is an AI visibility audit service operated by Sensara. This policy explains what information we collect at askedabout.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions: zac@sensara.io.

Information we collect

• Information you give us. When you run a check or buy an audit you provide your business name, what your business does (vertical), and optionally a city and website. To send your results we collect your email address.
• Payment information. Paid audits are processed by Stripe. Your card details are entered on Stripe and handled by Stripe — we never see or store full card numbers.
• Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we record basic technical and usage data — IP address, approximate location, browser and device type, pages viewed, and referring links — through our analytics provider.

How we use your information

• To generate your AI visibility check or Full Audit and deliver the results to your email.
• To process payments and provide customer support.
• To operate, secure, debug, and improve the service.
• To send you transactional messages about your audit. We do not add you to marketing lists without your consent.

How the audit works with AI engines

To produce your report we send buyer-style questions about your business (e.g. your business name, vertical, and city) to the official APIs of ChatGPT (OpenAI), Perplexity, Google Gemini, and Anthropic Claude. We send only the business details needed to ask those questions — not your email address or payment details.

Service providers we share data with

We use a small set of trusted processors to run AskedAbout: Stripe (payments), PostHog (product analytics), our email delivery provider (to send your report), and the AI engine APIs described above. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Cookies and analytics

We use first-party analytics (PostHog) to understand how the site is used and to improve it. You can block analytics cookies in your browser settings or with a privacy extension; the site still works.

Data retention

We keep audit data and the email associated with it for as long as needed to deliver and support your report and to meet legal and accounting obligations, then delete or anonymize it. You can ask us to delete your data sooner (see below).

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop processing it. Email zac@sensara.io and we will respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA — we honor those requests.

Children

AskedAbout is a tool for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
