For agencies & GEO consultants
The report that starts the AI visibility conversation with your client
We audited 153 real local businesses — 1,472 AI answers about dentists, med spas, law firms and home-services companies. In 42% of them, one specific competitor was named more often than the business itself. That finding, about your client, with the competitor's real name in it, is the shortest path to a GEO retainer we know. Five white-label audits, $249.

Who runs this
- Built and operated by Sensara LLC, Atlanta, Georgia — about us and how the audit works.
- See what the report looks like before you run anything — score per engine, the competitors AI names instead of you, and a fix plan.
- We run the same audit on ourselves every week and publish the result: in the latest run AI named AskedAbout in 1 of 144 answers. We report our own numbers the way we report yours.
You already sell the fix. Local SEO, review velocity, schema, content, digital PR — the levers that decide whether an AI engine names your client are largely levers you already pull. What you probably don't have is the diagnostic: a specific, checkable, client-branded artifact that shows a business owner that ChatGPT is recommending someone else by name.
That artifact is what AskedAbout sells. Run it on a client, put your logo on it, and let the engines make your argument for you.
What we found in 153 audits of real local businesses
This is our own first-party data — every number below comes from audits we ran against live AI engines, not from a survey or a vendor report.
| Vertical | Businesses | Avg AI Visibility Score | Named in | Out-named by one rival |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Med spas | 63 | 28.3 / 100 | 47% of answers | 29 (46%) |
| Personal-injury law | 41 | 25.9 / 100 | 46% of answers | 17 (41%) |
| Dentists | 27 | 25.4 / 100 | 43% of answers | 11 (41%) |
| Home services | 22 | 28.8 / 100 | 48% of answers | 8 (36%) |
| All | 153 | 27.2 / 100 | 46% of answers | 65 (42%) |
Read the bottom row slowly, because it is the whole pitch. The average local business is invisible in more than half of the AI answers about its own category in its own city. And in 65 of 153 cases, a single named competitor was recommended more often than the business itself. Across the set, the engines named 552 distinct rival businesses — specific, confident recommendations, every one of them going to somebody else.
No client of yours has seen that page about themselves. When they do, the question stops being should we do this and becomes how fast can you fix it.
Why the fix is a retainer, not a one-off
In a 21-business cut of our home-services audits, we looked at which sources the engines actually cited when recommending a local company. The answer reframes the work: the client's own website was cited in only about a fifth of answers. The engines were reading third-party evidence — directories, review sites, forum threads — far more than the homepage.
Which means AI visibility is not something you fix by rewriting a client's homepage once. It is an off-site evidence problem: it takes months, it needs monitoring, and it degrades if you stop. That is a retainer shape, and the audit is how you prove it exists.
How agencies use the 5-pack
- 1Run a free check first. Use the form on this page with a real client's name and city. Sixty seconds, six AI answers, no card. You'll see immediately whether there's a story to tell.
- 2Buy the $249 Agency 5-pack — five full audits, $50 each. No subscription, no seat fee, no annual contract.
- 3Redeem a credit per client. Each full audit runs 25 buyer questions × 4 engines × 3 samples = 300 real AI answers, and reports mention rate per engine, share-of-voice against every competitor the engines name, the sources they cite about that market, and a prioritized fix plan.
- 4Put it in the deck. The report is yours to re-brand and hand over. We are not in the room, we don't contact your client, and nothing in the deliverable requires us to be.
One report that names the competitor stealing your client's AI recommendations tends to be worth more than a deck full of projections. Get the 5-pack →
How the audit works
We query the official APIs of ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude with the questions a real buyer asks — “best med spa in Scottsdale”, “who should I call for emergency plumbing in Austin” — never the client's brand name, because a brand-name query tells you nothing about discovery. Because AI answers are nondeterministic, we ask each question multiple times across engines and report a frequency, not a screenshot. Anyone can reproduce a single answer; the value is in the distribution.
Can I white-label the report?
Yes. That's what the pack is for — the audits are yours to re-brand and deliver to your client as your own work product. We never contact your client.
Do the credits expire?
No. Buy the 5-pack, redeem the credits whenever you have clients to run them on.
What if I need more than five?
Buy another pack — there's no limit and no negotiation. If you're running audits at real volume, reply to any of our emails and we'll talk.
Is this a monitoring subscription?
No. The 5-pack is a one-time $249 purchase for five full audits. There is no recurring charge, and we don't ask for a card on file.
How is this different from the enterprise AI-visibility platforms?
Those are $99–500/mo dashboards sold to in-house brand teams, and they price per tracked brand — which makes them awkward for an agency running a one-off diagnostic on a $2k/mo local client. This is a report, priced per report. See how AskedAbout compares.

Method — we query the official APIs of each AI engine, with web search where supported. Answers vary between runs; the full audit repeats every question and reports frequencies, never one-off snapshots.
